How to Use Stock Photos for Your Personal Brand
While stock photography images just cannot compare to brand photography that features YOU center-stage, these photos can still be useful for both personal and commercial brands.
Below, I’m sharing three of my favorite ways that you can put stock photography to use for your business, but first, here’s a quick disclaimer: be sure to only use stock photos that you have permission to use, i.e. you’ve paid for them, they’re offered as open source media, or that you’ve photographed yourself.
Alright, let’s get started!
- Stock photos are ideal for filler images on social media
Whether you love creating graphics in your brand colors in Canva, or you have a set of brand photos that you love to share on social media, you can use stock photography to break up your grid. Check out how my friend Brittnie used her personalized stock photos on her instagram grid:
- Stock photos work well on your website
From the “Services” or “Home” pages on your website to your blog posts, stock photos of a computer on a desk, a stack of notebooks, or a coffee mug can add life to your website. Take a look at how my friend Sara uses stock photos on her website:
- Stock photos are perfect in email marketing
Sending an email about a spring sale? Use a stock image of spring florals for some seasonal flair. Asking past clients for testimonials? Use a stock image of two women conversing to add warmth to your message.
Stock photos can add SO much value to your business in so many ways! They are wonderful for all of the things listed above, and so much more!
